About Me

Hi, I’m Lorrie, a retired elementary reading intervention teacher turned children’s poet and anthologist. I write lighthearted rhyming poems to engage kids and help them learn a variety of literacy skills. I also develop thematic poetry anthologies to make it easier for parents & teachers to bring the rich language of children’s poetry into their teaching.

I live in a quirky beach town in North County San Diego and when I’m not reading or writing poetry, my husband and I love to spend time with our adult children and wonderful young grandsons.
